Four common types of faults in cable trays

A type of fault: the entire cable is burned out or a phase is burned out. This type of fault causes the current relay on the power distribution cabinet to act, and the cable is damaged seriously at the fault.

The second type of fault: all phases of the cable are short-circuited. Similarly, this type of fault causes the current relay and voltage relay on the power distribution cabinet to operate, and the cable is also seriously damaged at the point of failure

Three types of faults: only one phase of the cable tray is broken, and the current relay is activated. The fault point is less damaged but the exposure is more obvious. It may be that the phase current is too large or it is caused by the quality of the cable.

Four types of faults: short circuit inside the cable, no traces can be seen on the surface, such faults are generally rare due to the quality of the cable.
